Hello!
The code runs here on a BananaPi with Jessie, Kernel 4.1.2, display with 20x4.
Had to find the GPIO-number-calculation on
http://linux-sunxi.org/GPIO#Accessing_the_GPIO_pins_through_sysfs_with_mainline_kernel
for the right pins.
These are the pins as used as default in the hd44780-rpi driver:
# D7=Con3p12=PH-02 D6=Con3p16=PH-20 D5=Con3p18=PH-21 D4=Con3p22=PI-16
# EN=Con3p24=PI-10 RS=CON3p26=PI-14 RW=GND
pin_D7=226
pin_D6=244
pin_D5=245
pin_D4=272
pin_EN=266
pin_RS=270
In the beginning, making these wrong, I got a few freezes.
So there seems to be something wrong with the gpio driver of the system.
Best regards,
Iker
