Hi,
=20
A couple of weeks ago, I won a Media Center PC in a contest. Yeah, it
was the first time I won something.
=20
I played some time with MCE, but it's not what I'm looking for. So I
reinstalled this PC with Linux in combination with mythtv. And I would
like to get the VFD (lcd display) working.
=20
The PC is based on the Intel 2005 entertainment PC platform:
http://www.mecerpc.co.za/multimedia-centre.php=20

I have opened the PC to see which type of VFD is installed, but this is
all I can find:
TOR9326 VFD 020V2
C95242-104
Tatung

It looks like it's connected via USB and I can see it with lsusb.

After installing the software on a Windows PC, there is a file
DisplayProps.xml:

<?xml version=3D"1.0" encoding=3D"utf-8" ?>=20
- <root desc=3D"Front Panel Dispay Manager">
- <Display>
<Type>Alphanumeric</Type>=20
<VID>8086</VID>=20
<PID>6772</PID>=20
<DisplayRows>2</DisplayRows>=20
<DisplayColumns>12</DisplayColumns>=20
<ColorDisplay>False</ColorDisplay>=20
<scrolling>False</scrolling>=20
<VolumeControl>10</VolumeControl>=20
<Brightness>175</Brightness>=20
<NumBitmaps>6</NumBitmaps>=20
</Display>
- <CustomBitmaps>
<Button1 Function=3D"PlayOn" HIDMessage=3D"0x5,0x1" />=20
<Button2 Function=3D"PauseOn" HIDMessage=3D"0x5,0xff" />=20
<Button3 Function=3D"FFOn" HIDMessage=3D"0x5,254" />=20
<Button4 Function=3D"RewindOn" HIDMessage=3D"0x5,0x8" />=20
<Button5 Function=3D"MuteOn" HIDMessage=3D"0x5,0x10" />=20
<Button6 Function=3D"WirelessOn" HIDMessage=3D"0x5,0x20" />=20
<Button7 Function=3D"RecordOn" HIDMessage=3D"0x5,0x40" />=20
<Button8 Function=3D"RepeatOn" HIDMessage=3D"0x5,80" />=20
</CustomBitmaps>
</root>

And the FrontPanel.inf
