Hi Jeff,

Yess, some activity on the HEAD branch, very good. Your summary sounds
like quite some changes. It is good to see people working on it. But next
time let the list know what kind of things you have planned, maybe some
people have already done some things... (In this case I don't think
that's really the case). Also, it is more convenient to split the patch
into logical parts. It will now be some work to isolate features that we
don't want to integrate. But I and probably others will take a look and
let you know what we think of it.

Some comments from my side on the points:

1) Ability to have IP address editing menus.

2) New CrystalFontz 541 driver.
Sounds good.

3) The configuration file can now contain specific text for the
> ServerScreen.
4) The configuration file can now contain ExitScreen information that

I don't know if everyone agrees with the LCDproc-camouflageing features.
But to keep many people happy we should probably have some.

5) The test menus are by default compiled out, but can be easily re-
> enabled.

6) The left and right arrow keys of the CFontz541 are supported under all
> menus and screens if they are enabled in the configuration file.
Why should they not be ? All supported keys can be used for menus and
screens. The user can set this in the configuration file.

On what ?

I don't know if we can use the code in the current state. There were some
issues with the license from CFontz. We recently received some code that
has a suitible license but I don't think that is already in CVS.

Can you tell us where the differences between these devices are, as far
as you know ?

It would have been good to add your copyright line to the patch.

Thanks for your contribution.
