lcdproc 0.5.0 CVS version from 20030714 (i think...)
Hi,
after a quick test with uClibc 0.9.20, and our patched 2.4.20 kernel,
i encountered a problem with grsecurity, not allowing me to 'ioperm'.
btw, i did not patched the kernel with grsec before compiling uClibc!
the running system has grsec...
This is the error:
Starting up lcddgrsec: denied use of ioperm() by (lcdd:3475) UID(0) EUID(0),
parent (lcd:32092) UID(0) EUID(0)
grsec: denied use of ioperm() by (lcdd:3475) UID(0) EUID(0), parent

grsec: denied use of ioperm() by (lcdd:3475) UID(0) EUID(0), parent

3475: Segmentation fault
/usr/sbin/lcdproc: can't load library 'libpthread.so.0'
sock_connect: connect failed: Connection refused
Error: Could not connect to localhost:13666
Since i know almost nothing related to grsec, do you know of any changes
necessary in the functions that use ioperm?
[snip]
Thanks!
