Hi Keith,
it seems your display doesn't come with an interface
for the serial or parallel port. So you will have to
make (or buy ?) one. The Controller this Display is
based on (T6963C) needs at least 14 I/O-Lines. Too
much to hook it up directly to the parallel port.
You'll probably need a Microcontroller or some logic
circuits to interface it to your PC. And how a Driver
is done strongly depends on the kind of interface you
use and how it works. Also keep in mind that you need
+5 Volts -8 Volts and 130 Volts at 600Hz (Backlight) to
drive such a Display.
Once you have an interface and you know how it works
it won't be too hard to make a Driver, although
lcdproc only works with HD44780 based Character
Displays so far. Contrary to some other Graphic
Displays, the T6963C has a built in Charset thus
can be programmed like a Character Display.
